Onimusha: Way of the Sword Editions
Three digital editions ship worldwide, and the gap between them is cosmetics plus a handful of equippable charms — not extra story. Standard is the full campaign. Deluxe adds Musashi outfits and charms. Premium Deluxe adds haori, ally costumes and a mini soundtrack. Physical Steelbook and Lenticular SKUs exist on top of that, region by region.
Prices and what you actually get
Steam US pricing at the time of writing: Standard $69.99, Deluxe $79.99, Premium Deluxe $89.99. EU Steam has listed €69.99 / €79.99 / €89.99. Console digital prices track those USD numbers in most regions. None of the paid kits cut campaign content out of Standard — CAPCOM’s own store copy is explicit that Deluxe and Premium Deluxe are appearance and charm packs on top of the same game you can read about in the story overview.

Charms are the only pieces that change how Musashi plays. Sword appearances, haori, and ally outfits are visual. If you care about a statistical head start, read the items and charms page after you pick an edition — Lion Dog and the Deluxe charms sit in the same equipment slot you will use all campaign.

The Deluxe Kit is the value question most players will actually debate. Ten dollars over Standard buys three charms and a bundle of looks. If you already know you will live in the Spirit Mirror menu, Deluxe is the efficient stop. If you only want the campaign and the combat system, Standard is complete.
Premium Deluxe extras
Premium Deluxe includes everything in Deluxe, then adds Hellfire Haori, Moonlight Haori, Cloudbiter Haori, three Okuni outfits (Flower Dance, Goldfish Dance, Oni Dance), three Oni Lady outfits (Bird Call, Snow Camellia, Elegance), and an in-game mini digital soundtrack. That extra ten dollars over Deluxe is almost entirely vanity — aimed at people who want the full dressing-room and a few extra tracks, not a stronger Musashi.
Okuni and the Oni Lady are major supporting characters; if you want their costumes because you already like the cast, Premium Deluxe is the only edition that includes them. There is no gameplay reason to buy it on day one.
Pre-order and Early Adopter bonuses
Digital Standard pre-orders include Charm: Lion Dog and Sword Appearance: Sealed Curse. Deluxe and Premium Deluxe pre-orders add Charm: White Monkey and Sword Appearance: White Lion. CAPCOM’s fine print says charms strengthen Musashi, sword skins do not, and both menus unlock as you find Spirit Mirrors during the campaign — you will not have the full wardrobe on the first sword swing.
Regional cutoffs differ. North American digital copy has cited 11:59 p.m. EDT / 8:59 p.m. PDT on September 24 in older retailer text that still assumed the September 25 launch; treat the date on your storefront’s product page as the live rule. Some markets also advertise an Early Adopter window after launch. If you wait for a sale, you may lose Lion Dog. The demo still grants Kubi Akari regardless of which edition you buy later.
Physical SKUs
Americas: a $74.99 Steelbook edition on PS5, Xbox and Switch 2 (Switch 2 as a Game Key Card). EMEA: a Lenticular PS5 edition around £69.99 and a Premium Deluxe SteelBook around £89.99. Select EU regions also have a Steam-code-in-box PC SKU. None of these change the platform list — they are packaging. Confirm whether the Steelbook includes the Deluxe digital kit or only the disc / key card before you pay the extra five to twenty dollars.
Lenticular and Steelbook stock is retailer-limited. If the physical object is the point, pre-order from a shop that still shows allocation. If the game is the point, digital Standard plus the demo bonus is the cleanest path into the first-hour guide.

Does Deluxe include extra story or bosses?
No. Every edition contains the same campaign. Deluxe and Premium Deluxe add charms, sword skins, outfits and, on Premium, a mini soundtrack.
Are charms cosmetic?
No. CAPCOM states that equipping charms strengthens Musashi. Sword appearances are cosmetic only.
Can I upgrade Standard to Deluxe later?
Capcom typically sells the kits as separate DLC after launch. Wait for the store DLC tab on September 4 rather than assuming a discounted upgrade path.
Is the Steelbook a different game?
No. It is packaging. Check whether your region’s Steelbook also includes a digital Deluxe kit.
